ACCEPT – Advanced Centre for Conservation Education Planning & Training is the research wing of CSPT. It is affiliated with the Univ. of Madras and offers Ph.D. program.

The two Dy. Directors namely Dr.C.Arivazhagan (E&T) and Dr.S.R.Ganesh (Research) & Project scientist Dr.J.Subramanian and Dr.Kumaraguru are University-recognized supervisors. We network with other academic institutions to carry out collaborative researches. Co-mentoring of academic projects from the college depts. are also undertaken.

Chennai Snake Park also runs Diploma in Wildlife Tourism along with Tamilnadu Open University (TNOU), where students can enroll, get trained in wildlife tourism / ecotourism and pass out. Several scholars have enrolled and studied via this distance education course.
